New Shooz!!

So here I go head first into the world of minimalist shoes... or should I say feet first. :-) I have had a hard time finding running shoes that don't hurt my feet, so when I saw some minimalist shoes on sale I figured I would give them a shot. I have been waiting for 3+ weeks for them to get here, and the anticipation was killing me.

The saving grace about the wait was that I had time to read up on transitioning from regular running shoes. The key...take your time!

I'm glad I read that because as soon as I put them on they felt so good I just wanted to run. I think I'm in love. I wore them for my regular upper body workout then did 1 min intervals for 20 min on the treadmill to test them out.

After 20 min my calves are on fire, I can see why you need to take your time. Aside from my calves being sore, the rest of the run was great. I can't wait to keep progressing with these shoes.

Pics are below. I used the Merrell Vapor Glove (the yellow and green) the other pair are the Pace Glove. The pace glove are designed more for trail running, so I will focus on getting used to the Vapor Glove first.
